Mr. Harvard
Mr. Harvard led a very complicated life but at the moment his life was surprisingly simple and easy. Everyone knew him to be the 50 year old history teacher who was a little too energetic for someone his age. Fools.
Only a few people in this world really knew his true personality and nature. But still nobody could claim that they fully knew him and those who could were long dead. He trusted few and didn't go exposing his life to just anybody and not a soul knew his true form. Sure, there had been many close shaves in his long lifetime but he had managed through just fine. His secret was still intact. Rhy Harvard had to admit that the oblivious humans deserved half the credit.
It was a given that humans were the most oblivious beings on earth.
They wouldn't notice if a ogre was standing in front of them (its one of those giant balloons, isn't it). or if two wizards were dueling in front of them (Oo, wands with light switches, cool! they almost look real). Alright, its a bit exaggerated but you get the point.
Even if they notice, they try absurdly hard to come up with the most reasonable and normal explanation for their narrow minded selves and ignore whatever surreal thing they encounter. They are too obsessed with normalcy that their brain sees even the most supernatural things as something ordinary.
Now, you, my dear reader, would be wondering that why i'm telling you about some mysterious history teacher. hmm. you'll know soon enough. or maybe not at all. i can leave this story hanging just like that.why? because i'm evil.

ReplyDeleteFor some reason, although I tried several times, my comments for your first post wont appear... Maybe mysterious Mr Harvard has something to do with it?..
I'm really impressed with your post and I think you should turn it into a novella. Keep writing and keep that imagination alive. Creativity is the key to most things and you have it in abundance.

Thank you!!
DeleteFrom what I know of Mr. Harvard, he is a bit of a dodgy fellow. I wouldn't be surprised if he has something to do with the disappearing comments. I mean, bad things always seem to happen wherever he is.
